A notary or heir must send a digitally signed certificate of succession along with the heirs’ contact details to the email address parimistunnistus@swedbank.ee. The heir may also bring the certificate of succession to a bank branch, but an appointment must be booked in advance.
A bank representative will contact the heirs within five business days to arrange the next steps.
Inheritance procedures at Swedbank can be carried out either digitally with a digital signature or in person at bank branches. It is not necessary for all heirs to be present at the bank at the same time to finalize the transfer of the inheritance.
